There’s No Rage in My World
I. I feel the centre of the wind.
The storms of the sea,
the waves raging — to-froing.
I stretch my hand and touch the centre,
feel the energy, the vibration of this spirit.
I see myself in it.
I am the creator of this storm tearing the boat apart.
When I wake up to this knowledge,
I pacify its anger; for it is my anger.
I quench its rage by quieting my rage.
I stilled its violence by removing force from me.
Now the sea is calm,
now the rage is over.
What I see reflects how I shine.
Learning this, I don’t fight reality anymore.
‘Peace, be still.’
They thought the Son of God told the sea.
But he quieted his Soul, ‘Peace, be still.’
Thus brought calm to the world around him.
