Never Better Than Who You Feel God Is

Everyone believes ‘that’ a God. Either you accept the idea that there is Divinity or you do not, there is ‘an idea’ of God you are working with. (To reject/resist a thing is evidence of the thing’s existence.) In your search for success, you may or may not have come across the first law: the law of thinking or of cause and effect. Ultimately, in human perception, the Divine is the cause and the happenings around is the effect. This is why God is held as the First Cause.

Indeed, whomever you conceive God to be or by whatever name you address God, His primary responsibility in your sight is the First Cause. Otherwise, you would not hold Him responsible for everything that happens to you nor would you think he could change your course by whatever means. Well then, you can only be as good as you believe God to Be. This is the primary and inevitable relationship between you and God — because you are made in His image and likeness. You can only have attracted into your life what you feel He can create for and through you.

When you feel God needs your sacrifices/rituals to answer you, you compel yourself to offer them (also, you stay in the position of requiring others ‘sacrifices’/obligations before you do unto them). When you think God tempts you with sufferings before giving you your desires, you suffer them (and you impose sufferings on others around you). When you suppose God has abandoned this world and its riches for the wicked, you experience lack rather than abundance (and you expect others to be impoverished). When you feel God is in the business of judging people constantly to be sinners, you cannot but condemn yourself in almost every act. Even the best steps you take must be judged as unworthy in your heart, and others you look with a cynical eye.

It follows that as kind as you believe God to be is how kind you go. As compassionate as you suppose God is reflects how compassionate you are. How much you feel God loves is how much you love. What manner of parenthood you imagine God to have is the parenthood you display.

But the God that has created all things from the foundations of the world, whom Yeshua called the Father, is not created in our image. He is not ego-serving like humans, nor an ego-bearing fellow at the mercy of us.

Does He require your special appeals and sacrifices?

‘For I desired mercy, and not sacficice; and the knowledge of God more than burnt offerings.’

Does Spirit feed on your sufferings and desire to tempt you?

‘Let no man say when he is tempted, I am tempted of God: for God cannot be tempted with evil, neither tempts he any man.’

Has Spirit left the creation that from the beginning felt good for the evils of men?

‘Behold, the heaven and the heaven of heavens is the LORD’s your God, the earth also, with all that therein is.’

Does the Father condemn anyone as a sinner or undeserving of grace?

‘Who shall law any thing to the charge of God’s elect? It is God that justifies.’

Would you now not examine yourself? Do you not see that the qualities you ascribe to God are the standards you strive to execute, or rather naturally execute, in your own life? You can only be as perfect as you feel God to be.

How about you do this exercise every morning when you wake? Simply say the words: ‘Thank you.’ Then say, ‘God is Love. God is Life. God is Light. This I Am today.’

Do not let this be vain repetitions. Truly feel the life, love and light that you experience even now. Yes, God is Love and thus all the things you have now in your life has come without charge. God is Life and so are you alive; thus, feel alive from within your heart that pulses with LIFE every moment. God is Light. Thus, every moment that you understand better about God and Life, you find more peace and illumination in your life itself.

Do this and see how your life’s conditions improve instantly. Truly I tell you, your rewards are immediate and eternal.

Finally, bear this in mind about God. GOD IS! God’s name is I AM. I AM is formless Consciousness, impersonal Power, infinite Spirit, eternal Truth and boundless Love. These are not descriptions of God although we have been fond of thinking so. They are other ways of saying God, of referring to the same Divinity. Let this be in your experience.
