I could watch movies and series, especially when it has a lot of wonderful thrills. Then I discovered that when I watch a series for too long, I begin to dream it and interpret my world through its lens. That’s not a strange event at all. That is a moment when I have repeatedly concentrated on the idea of that play for so long that it has now obsessed my attention. The only challenge was sometimes, the series reflected ideas back to me which were limiting, and I would have to revise them. After all, another author, probably unaware of the power of imagination, wrote it.
But that brings me to the question, ‘What if I remain the author constantly writing my own series and playing it out in consciousness?’ Ah!
In the art of mastering my Attention, I learn to
- Adjust my mind
- Permit only one thing in my vision
- Steady and confine my focus
- Exclusively concentrate my attention
- Be selective of a specific end.
These are some of the objectives I want to train you to accomplish in your consciousness for the incoming 21 Days of Imagination Exercise. There are two specific attention-building exercises; one to be done during the day every day, and the other night after night. I have clear instructions on these exercises for you, and important lectures to develop your understanding of Attention!
